Check out one of our latest projects: the White Lotus Aromatics website. White Lotus Aromatics is based out of Port Angeles, Washington. They offer pure essential oils, CO2 extracts, traditional attars, absolutes, carrier oils, and incense to the fragrance community. Design-wise, the site has a look that conveys the natural, earthy feel of the company since they use herbs and botanicals for their aromatics.

The folks from White Lotus are smart cookies who know a lot about fragrances and share this knowledge in their newsletters and recipes. The site was designed and developed in a way for these newsletters and recipes to be easily found and showcased.

Beautiful design and findability are great and all, but what White Lotus really needed was a fully responsive ecommerce site. White Lotus knew that the future of their ecommerce business would rely heavily on mobile customers and they wanted the shopping experience to be just as enjoyable on smaller devices as it would be on a desktop.

This site was also featured as “Site of the Day” on awwwards.com for August 6. That means it will also be included in their book “The 365 Best CSS Websites Around the World: 2011” and it is also included in their CSS Gallery.

The Awwward was given by the CSS Website Awards which, by their own words, are “the awards for design, creativity and innovation on the Internet, which recognize and promote the best web designers in the world.” Not too shabby, eh?
